Station 1

Station 1, MBFD's Midtown Madhouse, was dedicated May 13th, 1999. The
station is the busiest in the city and home to an engine, heavy rescue,
medic unit, squad, and the shift battalion. Station personnel typically
ranges from 10-12, including a battalion chief, a captain, and a
lieutenant. Station 1's coverage area runs from between the Atlantic Ocean to the
Intracoastal Waterway, and as far as Harrelson Blvd to the south and
27th Ave N to the north. BB&T Coastal Field, home of the Myrtle Beach
Pelicans, and Coastal Grande Mall are both within Station 1's first due
coverage area.
